Pre-Qualification Criteria

Do you meet the four pre-qualification criteria?

1. The Financial Investment:
   The liquid cash requirement of a new Melting Pot franchise candidate is 30% of the cost to develop/open the restaurant. We look for a minimum cash liquidity of $325,000 - $400,000 USD a typical Melting Pot restaurant averages between $1 - $1.2 million, sometimes more. The development cost varies depending on the site, size of the space, development/labor cost in your area and other factors. The total combined net worth minimum is $700k. (Total development/opening costs can range from $886,695 to $1,554,695, or more.)
    
2. Commitment to Franchise Standards:
   Are you ready to make the commitment to become self-employed within a franchise system? Are you able to follow the Discovery Process and operating systems of The Melting Pot? Our unique concept does not require prior restaurant management our ownership experience. If you do not have a restaurant background, we will require a background in business responsibilities.
    
3. The Time Frame:
   If you are offered a Melting Pot franchise, from your initial interest, through the offer and acceptance of a Melting Pot franchise, you can expect to spend approximately 60-120 days involved in this process. Once a franchise agreement is signed, you have 12 months to open the restaurant. We will assist you throughout the development process.
    
4. Managing Your Business:
   From helping you secure your restaurant site to the training of you and your employees, The Melting Pot Restaurants Inc. has a strong support system to aid you in the opening and ongoing operation of your business.
