The Melting Pot of Pittsburgh is currently hiring for it's new location!  We will be relocating down the street to a brand new building in early November!  We are looking for new staff members to help us start the next chapter of our successful restaurant!  We are seeking Full-Time & Part-Time positions for Servers, Host, Busser / Server Assistants & Prep Cooks.

Servers

Melting Pot is service staff are an elite crew. Our staff is empowered to go above and beyond for our guests. The extended dining experience allows you to connect with the guest to provide an exceptional experience. If you have hospitality in your heart we want you and your guests will reward you.

  • Ability to continuously stand or walk.
  • Ability to bend, squat, climb stairs and lift frequently.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.
  • Stay abreast of established safety practices and hazardous materials awareness.
  • Maintain acceptable appearance and conduct standards.
  • Minimum of 2 years serving experience, Fine Dinning or Corporate Brand Preferred.

 

Hospitality Specialist (Host)

It has been proven that the first and last impressions are undoubtedly the most lasting. Whether addressing a guest over the telephone or in person, the hospitality specialist is instrumental in conveying the level of enthusiasm which has given The Melting Pot its name.

Position Summary:

  • Answering phones and making reservations, and showing guest to their table.
  • Opening doors and greeting guests entering and exiting the restaurant, establishing a professional, hospitable rapport with each guest.
  • Maintains positive guest relations and exceeds guests’ expectations by promoting and reinforcing The Melting Pot culture of the The Perfect Night Out®.
  • Performs as part of the team, executing opening, running and closing side-work assignments.
  • No Previous Experience Required.

 

Busser / Server Assistant:

They keep the restaurant stable as guests come and go. They provide fast and clean table turns, making it possible for guests to be seated more efficiently. They give strength to the entire operation as they quietly and steadily work to keep each department moving forward. As a SA, it’s important you understand your role in supporting all aspects of the operation.  

Position Summary:

  • Ability to continuously stand or walk.
  • Ability to bend, squat, climb stairs and lift frequently.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally. 
  • Stay abreast of established safety practices and hazardous materials awareness.
  • Maintain acceptable appearance and conduct standards.
  • No Previous Experience Required.

Prep Cook:

Melting Pot kitchen crew perform many food preparation duties. They are required to follow set recipes, procedures and cleanliness standards. As part of the culinary staff crew members need to follow prep sheet, proactively rotate prepared product, organize prepared, follow food safety rules at all times and work to insure Melting Pot is serving the finest, freshest fare possible.

Position Summary:

  • Clean work areas and clean them for food preparation activities.
  • Wash and chop vegetables and meat for cooking purpose.
  • Follow set recipes and directions to prepare food properly.
  • Make sure that fresh and the few frozen food products are rotated appropriately.
  • Wrap, label and date prepared food items.
  • Make sure that all kitchen services are handled by following best safety practices.
  • Ability to bend, squat, climb stairs and lift frequently.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.
