Melting Pot has always been known as a place that welcomes our guests to gather to create lasting memories and engage with one another in a way that only fondue can make happen. With this as our foundation, we remain committed to fostering a culture consistent with our core value of the Perfect Night Out.
The Perfect Night Out begins when everyone has a seat at our table.
At Melting Pot, diversity adds flavor. The strength of our fondue family grows from a sense of inclusion that is felt by celebrating everyone who walks through our door.
At Melting Pot, we don’t just accept differences — we celebrate them, we support them, and we thrive on them for the benefit of our teams, our restaurants, and our communities.
As an organization, in partnership with our independent franchise owners and operators, we are listening, learning, and implementing better practices to promote diversity and inclusion. Below are some of our diversity and inclusion initiatives:
- Brandwide Diversity and Inclusion Committee: This committee, comprised of Restaurant Support Center staff and Melting Pot restaurant operators, meets monthly and is focused on education, awareness, recruitment, and advocacy for diversity and inclusion.
- Scholarships: Every Spring and Fall, Melting Pot awards six $1,000 scholarships to support higher education. Three of these scholarships are for general studies, open to all active Melting Pot team members coast to coast. Three of these scholarships are minority scholarships, open to team members who are part of an ethnic minority group, as well as their children.
- Franchise Incentives: We are a member of the International Franchise Association (“IFA”) and participate in the IFA’s DiversityFran program, which provides financial incentives to qualified minorities to help them acquire franchised businesses. In support of this program, we reduce the initial franchise fee for by 20% for new minority franchisees joining the Melting Pot franchise system.
