A popular restaurant franchise is looking to dip into the local market.
Melting Pot is considering a second Indiana location, which would be the first dedicated fondue dining experience in the Summit City.
The chain’s franchise growth strategist, Collin Benyo, recently visited the city to meet with local economic leaders and tour potential sites, according to media relations specialist Katja Ostojic. The company operates a restaurant in Indianapolis.
Benyo cited Fort Wayne’s downtown momentum, development activity and growing food scene as factors making the city attractive for expansion.
The proposed location would create 35 to 70 jobs, according to the company. A timeline or specific location have not been announced.
