The restaurant that is known for its interactive dining experiences with sweet and savory tableside fondue pots first had a presence in Memphis when Front Burner Brands opened a franchise at 2828 Wolfcreek Parkway in 2004. That store closed in 2010, but Johnston says the separation had nothing to do with disappointment in the market.

The Melting Pot — the Florida-based fondue restaurant — closed its Memphis restaurant at 2828 Wolfcreek Pkwy. near Wolfchase Galleria back in 2014. And ever since, they've said they want back in the Memphis market. They said it in 2014. And in 2021. And yet again in 2022.

Melting Pot has launched a new program requiring only a $5,000 franchise fee per unit — a $40,000 discount — with a rebate paid at lease signing, as well as financial support for the period of time a restaurant is actively converting — up to $12,500 per month in lost income during the conversion buildout.
